I know, I know, I've been gone for quite a while. It's made me extremely sad, but not too sad because I know what I'm working on will make this blog even better.

These photos came from a photoshoot with The Fashion Club @ DP. You should definitely check out their blog, especially since I'm the president of the club. Speaking of the club, it has started, and so far it's going fantastic. I love that the club is a place for people with various styles and personalities can come and be theirselves.

I'm also working on a collection, that will be in the end of the year fashion show for my club. Its going great so far, and I've also been filming my process. I will start uploading when the show starts getting close, that way you can see my design process and how the collection came to be. I've also gotten some orders for homecoming dresses (including my own) that I might vlog the process of. I have a little less than a month so I better get crackin. Take care xx

First off, I need to start off with an apology for the absence of blog posts. Quite a few things have been going on and I think I've finally gotten in the groove of things. 

I absolutely love this off the shoulder dress I made. I'm thinking of just sewing a few and selling them to anyone that wants one. I've actually started doing commissions and I've got an order or two so far, which is exciting. I'm also doing repurposing of some thrifted items I've been finding, and I'm thinking of putting up DIY's on the blog. I figured why not share what I've learned, it's the best thing to do.  

The collection is still in the process, I've gotten wonderful ideas and I've sketched them out. The only problem is I haven't decided on a colour pallet yet, I keep seeing beautiful fabrics everywhere and then I end up changing my mind. I still love the process though, no mater how frustrating it can be at times. Plus the end result is what makes it worth it. Take care xx

I think a little catch up is in order.

If you don't follow me on Instagram, then you wouldn't know all of the cool things I've been doing. I made a Flickr account for all of the cool photos that you guys & girls don't get to see. I also finished my romper for my birthday. And let me tell you, it was quite the garment to make; but you'll hear all about it on my birthday post.

I recently went to the museum with my mum and it was quite a lot of fun. There were very interesting exhibits and pieces. I'm also thinking of volunteering there during this school year.

AHHGHGGH. Speaking of school, we (I) go back tomorrow! I'm actually quite excited, mainly for the outfits and seeing my friends. But, fun fact about me, I love homework for some reason. Maybe it's just the thought of having to do something, but the classes I got this year are going to be very interesting. In a good way of course. I recently got back home, and I've been sewing like crazy. Not to mention I got this gorgeous leaf fabric that I was planning to use for the collection, but I wanted to make an outfit or my birthday. You'll definitely see a birthday post with the finished garment. This post is mainly a creative post, taken by myself. Like I said, Thank GOD for self-timers.

My father recently got me a tripod for nightfall photo taking, and I was thinking about starting a YouTube channel. I'm not certain yet, but if I do, I will definitely make a post about it and let you know.

School is starting next week, and I'm trying to savour the last moments when I can sew whenever I want for as long as I want. Although, I do love school, sewing/fashion design is my one true love.  I also cant wait for the SS16 collection I'm coming out with! I've been trying to come up with interesting shapes and just clothing that I love above all. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week. Take care xx

Can we just take a moment to enjoy the water in the background of the glorious pictures.

I actually can't wait to go back to school soon. Mainly because of the endless outfits I'm picturing in my head. I know, I know, when school actually starts I'll probably wear sweats one day or two. But it's school and sometimes you need a break, besides it's not like I'm trying to impress anyone. I never like to dress for people, if I want to look good a certain day then you best believe I will be looking the bom.com. 

I'm really missing the water, I'm even planning for my birthday next year to somehow be on the water. If you haven't caught on by know, I have a habit of planning ahead. But yes, I'm thinking of either renting a boat or a yacht. The only problem is the money, but I'll put some money away. Hopefully some fabric doesn't steer me away from that goal. I've been contemplating on blogging about DIY projects, mostly sewing. I figured since I show you my designs and clothing, I might as well show you how to make some simple pieces. Bonjour mes amis! My father and I went exploring today and let me tell you, it was a blast. Sure it was humid and we got quite sweaty, but it was classic father daughter time. I live visiting the ports and just riding the bikes near the sea. Its like a whole other world. I just want to find a place to live that has a beach near-by with a subway station and an awesome fabric store selection. Right now France is sounding great, but we'll see what the future brings. I have lots of time to decide. 

Im currently working on a few pieces at the moment so you may see some posts with me wearing brands other than my own. I cant wait for you to see them! If you guys want little sneak peaks of my collection on Instagram, let me know.

If you couldn't tell, self timers are my bae right now. Speaking of bae, I just found out what it stands for earlier this year [0_o]. Yeah, I'm a little slow with these things, but I'm working on it. 

From my last post you know I'm on a thrifting craze, mostly for button up shirts but if something comes along that I cant help but buy, then I'll make it happen. I love this button up, even with the Beetle Juice vibes I'm getting from it. Did you notice anything new about the blog??? I gave her a little face-lift and a big upgrade, the upgrade being that it is no longer "www.foreignintentions.blogspot.com", it is now "www.foreignintentions.fashion". I've been waiting for this day for the longest of times, and it has finally come. Some of you may be wondering why I chose ".fashion" instead of ".com" but the reason why is, in truth the inter-webs is running out of ".com's". There was still a ".com" for Foreign Intentions, but my my father explained that in the future there will be different top level domains for different topics, so I just decided to get a jump start on it.  I hope you guys enjoy the little changes I made! UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Top - Thrifted

I'm pretty sure the thrift store is my 5th home. I'm starting to have a new obsession over over-sized button down shirts, but more so from the men's section. There's always awesome finds in the men's section, i.e. this shirt. I don't know, how but their clothing is SO much more comfortable, maybe its because they don't have all this extra stuff on their chest. Since I don't have a boyfriend to steal borrow clothes from I'll just settle with stuff from the men's section. 

But the reason I'm playing with a ruler/ paintbrush is because we're fixing up my room *whoop whoop*. We painted it white, and yeah yeah some people say "but white is so BLAND". My take on it is I cant put a bunch of colors in my room like pillows or artwork and not worry about things clashing. It's like a blank canvas, you can do so much with it. If I do some DIYs I'll be sure to show you how to do them.

This is going to sound so first world problem-y but I've been trying to work on my Instagram feed. If you haven't noticed I don't really have a theme because I'm not that great with keeping up with that. Don't get me wrong I like feed themes and what not but some of them are so unoriginal and it just gets repetitive and bland. Right now its starting to look like a grey theme & to me that's just BLEH (for my feed). I want it to be colourful and full of life and reflect the things I love, especially since I'm an artist & I love all colours. I've had some ideas about it following the seasons, or every row is different (like a rainbow), but we'll see what becomes of it.Comment your Instagram or blog names so I can check them out! JULY PLAYLIST

Welp! Here its is, my July Playlist as promised. I really loved putting this together for you guys, and I think this will become a monthly installment on Foreign Intentions. I figured I'd make it a little different and let you actually be able to listen to it on the blog, that way you don't have to search for it online. My music taste is very, how you say, EVERYWHERE. I like to listen to a variety of styles and I like hearing everyone's different take on a song (which is why there are remixes in this playlist). Salut! That's French for hello if you didn't know. Just because I'm in Florida, where no one really speaks French, doesn't mean I shouldn't use it. I love the French language, its actually one of my classes in school. 

So far, this summer has been a blast of exploration on my part. I've spent 95% of my time at the beach or the pool so far. I cant help it, I'm a beach girl. I'm actually venturing out of my comfort zone and doing things I wouldn't normally do. Ever since I got my camera, I've just started walking around taking pictures (yes, partly for the photography course that I'm currently taking), not caring if I'm alone. Usually I always like to have someone to accompany me to places I've never been before, in fear of a kidnapping of course. Things happen people. But now I just don't care, besides, sometimes its good to do things by yourself. 

I'm kind of having shopping withdrawals because I spent all of my money on my camera, and used the rest on fabric for a collection. Hopefully I'll be okay. I also found a new group called Years & Years, I'm loving their songs like no other. They might make up half of my July playlist that I'll be posting later this month. Keep your eyes peeled!
