ADVENTURE AWAITS

Can I just say, I'm loving the mysterious feels in this picture.

I just received all of these goodies from my family, & it feels like they're all following a theme. If you couldn't tell by the suitcases, the theme seems to be traveling. I have been saving up for my first real DSLR camera. I am extremely thankful to my family for helping me purchase the camera, a Nikon D3300. I am in love with it, and now I can always have a camera ready for blog post. Before I was just borrowing cameras, but now I have my own. I also got some suitcases, being that the only one I have is damaged & it was time for a new one.

The set it a nice and sleek dark steel gray color, that I'm obviously going to spruce up later on. I can't wait to see what this summer has in store. I'm also thinking of doing travel diary posts and food posts. I don't want this blog to have my face on every post, that just gets repetitive and a tad bland. Great things coming soon I hope! Take care xx

MANIC MONDAY

Dress - Foreign Intentions | Purse - Thrifted | Earrings - DIY | Shoes - JustFab

So I figured, hey, why not post on a Monday? It was manic (see what I did there). Today/this month has been pretty good to me. I got out of school, which means more time for the blog *whoop whoop* More sewing will DEFINITELY be happening *extra whoop whoop*. I also finished the year out with a bang, and by bang I mean a fabulous party (that may be exaggerated) that included a lot of fighting for a volleyball and a pool. I also started a journal (again), but this time I really want to stick with it. The first day I started it was at 12 something in the morning, I just couldn't fall asleep because I had SO many things on my mind. I decided I would just write all of my thoughts and secrets into this one. Hopefully no one steals it. Oh! I also went thrifting today, for about 5 minutes, but I actually found some great things with the short amount of time I had. You might see them in an upcoming post.

I'm really loving this dress I made, the material is nice and thin so I won't sweat it off during summer. I also put a lot of handwork into this piece. I had to hand sew almost everything by hand and I used a tweezer quite a lot. Overall I'm very proud of it, and I think I may continue an entire collection around this. I dunno, we'll see what the summer brings.

If you couldn't tell I'm head over flats (man, I'm on fire with the puns today!) with these sandals. They  go with just about everything and are super comfortable. I've had a hard time trying to not wear them out. I hope everyone had a great Monday & enjoyed all of my puns, even if they were corny. Take care xx
