COURT-SIDE

Romper - Foreign Intentions | Sandals - DSW

So NYFW has just passed, and sadly I missed it. But I'm here on my computer, watching YouTube vlogs in my pjs, so its ok. Comfort is key right?
Speaking of comfort, this romper is just that. I've been wanting to buy a romper for some time, but whenever I had money it would be out of my mind. The good thing is though, when I went to the fabric store I figured I could just buy some fabric and make one myself.
I'm really loving the print I chose for it, I even had some left over and made a top. The shorts are probably the best part. I love dresses and all, but if I want to sit cross legged, well... its just not lady-like sadly (plus I don't want to flash the undergarments). I think the only thing I would've done differently is add pockets, aka the best thing EVER. Take care xx

COLOUR DRAINED

Top - Foreign Intentions | Skirt - Marilyn Monroe | Free Runs - Nike

This was probably the most fun I've had yet at a shoot. I've been wanting to post this ever since we took the pictures. I just really love the casual and sporty essence of this outfit. The comfy sneakers were a great bonus. I'm really loving the top that I made for this, it's pretty similar to the one from the post New Love. The only difference is the fabric and the band width.

I had some trouble deciding on a name for this post for some uncanny reason. While I was listening to "White Noise" from Disclosure's album, the lyric "colour drained" stuck out to me. I thought it was perfect since I was only wearing grey and blacks. It's a great song for when you're trying to push through a workout, or just in general. Take care xx

GIRLY GAL

Dress - Foreign Intentions | Shoes - Mom's Closet

A few days ago, I realized that Valentines Day was coming up and I had nothing to wear, and more importantly nothing to post. Which led to me begging my mother to take me to the fabric store at the late of night. I did this dress the night before the shoot (crazy, I know), but I am so glad I did. When I was at the store, trying to find the material that suited my needs, nothing "spoke" to me. But I remembered when you put chiffon on top of a fabric, it gives it a more toned down and softer look (which was exactly what I was going for). I also added the corset-esque back for more romance. Take care xx
