EAU DE TOILETTE

Marc Jacobs DAISY DREAM

I've been thinking, I should really start doing a favorites post once a month now, to tell you guys what I've been loving and so on. So here's a post that'll hopefully hold you over until tomorrow, but hey, two posts in one week isn't so bad.

I received this amazing fragrance late august last year for my birthday, and I absolutely adore it. Even though I only like to use it for special occasions, it snuck up on me as this month's favorite. Plus it's apparently spring now so it goes wonderfully with the season. I find that it has a fresh scent and puts a smile on my face each time I spray it. AND it lasts pretty much all day, whats not to love; well I guess the price, but still, its a great splurge.

Regularly scheduled programming will resume tomorrow. I think I will continue to do these fragrances of the month from now on, it lets me be behind the camera again. Take care xx

HAZY

Hat - F21 | Top - Foreign Intentions | Under top - F21/DIY | Jeans - Red Blue Denim | Boots - Calvin Klein

Spring break is finally here, and most of my life will probably be at the beach.  Cliché, but how can you complain??? It was basically all I could think about during this shoot. This past week has been pretty exhausting and a blur with all the end of quarter exams. What gave me a break in-between was, I got to go to a baseball game, which was long overdue and loads of fun. But of course, after that I was back in exam mode. I'm so glad to finally have a break and blog to my heart's content, I may even sneak in some reading/drawing.

Speaking of blogging, I'm really loving this top I made, rather quickly I might add, and it definitely made my day brighter. Not to mention the fact that it is the ultimate comfy top, being that I made it with a thin sweater knit fabric. As for an impromptu DIY, I just took a Forever 21 Tank top and cut the straps in the back (close to the seam) to transform it into a halter top. I feel like the hat just tops it all off.

Well, I'm off to enjoy some pre-summer waves! What are you guys doing this week? I'd love to know. Take care xx

BLACKER THAN BROWN

Jacket - Express | Top - Foreign Intentions | Jeans - F21 | Boots - Calvin Klein

This past week was quite relaxing, I got to go to the beach and see this beautiful sunset (you can see pictures on my Instagram), and I got some good scores on my tests which is a plus.
But enough of school stuff, what's funny about the pictures is the jacket is quite black, but in the pictures it shows up brown.
I'm starting to really love these jeans from Forever 21. When I first bought them, they never fit right and I hated wearing them. I am soooo glad I didn't return them because I wear them all the time now. The top I made is also my new love, it's extremely comfortable and soft & the grey makes it simple to pair with anything. As for the boots, (in the link it's brown) which I would wear everyday if I could, are also surprisingly comfortable as well. Calvin Klein really hit the mark with this one. I guess today's outfit was all about comfort! Take care xx

COME BACK KID

Top - F21 | Flannel - Thrifted | Skirt - Foreign Intentions | Booties - DSW

To start, I didn't make this skirt entirely; I altered the fit issues and hem line (I love that it has pockets). I think it turned out great, and I really love the flannel I paired with it. I think it compliments the skirt and top all together. What makes it even better is that i got the flannel thrifting, well kind of.
The story is, my aunt found this store called dirt cheap (it sells everything extremely low, lower than thrift stores) and while i was browsing around, i happened to find this flannel in the mens section. I don't think anything in that store was used, just things that companies didn't want anymore. Fast forward a month or two, I'm watching "New Girl" and Nick was wearing the exact flannel I bought (which I couldn't help but think that was pretty cool).
Anyways, the ankle boots I'm wearing are  the best things ever. I've had them for a while (since 6th grade) and they're extremely comfortable. I hope my feet don't grow any bigger (they've stopped for now, but you never know) so that I can still wear them in the future. Take care xx

TRUE BLUE

Levi Jacket - Vintage | Dress - Foreign Intentions | Oxfords - Nordstrom

So, this was quite a spontaneous shoot. By spontaneous, I mean last minute; it was also the first time my mother shot pictures for me (besides the non-blog formalities).  Besides the point, it was a good time.
I recently went thrifting and found this gorgeous, amazing (the list could go on and on) denim jacket. To be blunt, when I went to go thrifting, I didn't think I would find anything that I would instantly fall in-love with. And I was happily wrong. The fit of it is amazing and the quality is top-notch. As for the dress, it was also spontaneous. I made it the night before I left for a trip, and without a pattern. I really adore this piece as well, its extremely versatile and comfortable. I'm thinking of making more in different colors (which will probably happen very soon). I think I'm starting to get an obsession over these of dresses. Take care xx
